Another Sunday at the cross...


This past Sunday Emi and I took some of the older boys (18 - 22 yrs old) in Livada's care to the cross in the mountains near Brasov. It was a brilliant day out with them. There is something about being in the great out doors that brings out the best in people and we had some good laughs and some great talks.

In a couple of weeks half of these guys graduate out of Livada's Mentour Program and start life on their own. These are all guys that used to live in Ludus Orphanage which is about 45 mins from the city we live in. But for the past couple of years they have all lived in appartments with Livada and have had mentors to help them learn to grow into the men God wants them to be. They also have learned to do all the things it takes to take care of themselves in the real world... and in two weeks it will all be put to the test.

They will soon be paying their own rent and buying their own food, etc. We hope they are ready but we are still their family so we will still be there to help them get up when they fall.

They start life on their own two feet on October 15 so please pray for them and for the few girls that will be doing the same that they will use wisdom in their decision making and they wont be afraid to come and ask for help when they really need it.
