Christmas is coming...
Well the old blogging has been a bit dry lately but life has been busy so what do you do. I have to say that I am really looking forward to Christmas this year though. For starters Charlie is coming in 4 days to stay with us and then Claire is coming just after Christmas. I can't wait to have a bit of old fashioned Norn Irish craic with them for a couple of weeks. I think a lot of Settlers might be played, this will unfortunately have to be done without the presence of the current Irish Champion, Niall Nixon, oh well.
I am also looking forward to having Christmas with the kids here. We will be delivering hundreds of shoe boxes to kids all over Mures County and we are having a couple of the teenage girls from Zau (a girls state orphanage) come and stay at our house for a couple of days. Maybe we will have some guys next year but Fiona currently has the language advantage. We will also be going to spend Christmas morning with one of Livada's group homes, 9 crazy little kids that I'm sure will be hyperactive to a whole new dimension. And who knows what else the season will bring? Apparently caroling is quite a big thing here and when kids come to your door and sing you have to give them food or money. So that could be interresting... kind of like haloween but better.
I have to say that I am also really looking forward to some snow. We have not seen the fluffy white stuff since the first week in November. I can't wait for its return so we can go sledding and maybe even hit the slopes on the old snow board, who knows...
I will keep you all posted as this amazing season unfolds and I hope that we will all get a new glimps of the amazing man whose birth this holiday celebrates.
Tomorrow night I am talking with 60 teenagers about the Christmas gift that everybody was waiting for but few really wanted. So please pray that Jesus will be seen through my feeble words as well as my actions.
